We know December takes a little more organising than your average trip to the pub, so here’s everything you need to know about booking a larger table with us over the festive period.
Throughout December, bookings for 8 people or more require a £10 per person deposit to secure your table.
Bookings of 8+ cannot be made through our standard online booking system. Instead, please contact our Helpdesk team through Instagram, Facebook, our website or Live Chat, and they’ll help get everything sorted for you.
Your booking is not confirmed until the required deposit has been paid.
Your £10 per person deposit is calculated based on the number of places required around your table, rather than the number of guests who will be eating.
This means babies and toddlers are included in your total party size, as they still require space at the table, even if they won’t be dining with us.
There is no minimum spend attached to your booking. Your deposit is simply an advance payment towards your final bill.
For your security, please do not send us your card details through Instagram, Facebook, Live Chat, email or any other written message.
We will never ask you to send your card details through one of these platforms.
Deposits can only be paid in one of two ways:
Over the phone, when a member of our Helpdesk team calls you to securely take payment.
When you dine with us, your deposit will be deducted from your table’s final bill.
Please be aware that where a deposit has been applied to a booking, we cannot split the bill by individual items or allow each guest to pay separately for only the items they ordered. The remaining balance will need to be settled against the table’s overall bill.
If you need to cancel your booking, please give us more than 72 hours’ notice. The 72-hour period is calculated from the time of your reservation.
For example, if your booking is at 7pm on Friday, you will need to cancel before 7pm on Tuesday.
If you cancel more than 72 hours before your booking, your deposit will be returned to the original payment method used to pay it.
Once we have processed this, the time it takes for the funds to appear in your account will depend on your bank or card provider. We cannot return deposits by bank transfer or to an alternative payment method.
If you cancel within 72 hours of your booking, your deposit will be retained.
In exceptional circumstances, a return of the deposit within the 72-hour cancellation period may be considered at management’s discretion.
We know numbers can change, so please let us know as soon as possible if your party size changes – as this may free up another table which we can make available to other guests if we have prior notice.
If you reduce the size of your party more than 72 hours before your booking, the full deposit you have already paid will still be applied to the final bill. (We are sorry but we do not have the resources to be able to refund individual deposits to individual guests who cannot attend. But if we are made aware that you cannot attend more than 72 hours beforehand, the full deposit will be taken off the bill, so please contact your party organiser to recover your individual deposit if you cannot attend.)
If you tell us that your party size has reduced within 72 hours of your booking, only the deposit relating to the guests still attending will be applied to your final bill. The deposit relating to the cancelled places will be retained. This also applies if fewer guests simply arrive on the day than were originally booked, without the booking being amended beforehand.
Any increase in party size will be subject to availability and may require an additional £10 deposit per additional place.
Plans changed? You don’t necessarily have to cancel.
You can ask us to move your booking to another available date and keep your deposit attached to the booking, including if you contact us within the 72-hour cancellation window.
The new booking must be for an available date within December or by the 31st of January 2027 and will be subject to table availability.
By paying your deposit, you are agreeing to the terms of this December Booking & Deposit Policy
